On Sunday 28th January
2007, Dodgy Clutch presented a commemorative display outside the
Theatre Royal, Newcastle as part of the National Holocaust Memorial
Day event held inside the Theatre.
The Rangoli
drawing was assembled throughout the day by six artists, and finally
lit at 5.30pm in time for the departure of the guests.
The visual
created was that of the Memorial Day flame, and used natural materials
including coal, potatoes and pulses rather than the Indian Rangoli
techniques more traditional materials such as flower petals.
